3rd grade!

Josh has started the 3rd grade, and is loving school most of the time  :-).  Josh's pull-outs for reading and writing are no longer happening... the special ed teacher goes TO the classroom, along with other teachers and aides to work with all of the various reading levels.  And the greater inclusion seems to be agreeing with him  :-).  He's such a little over-acheiver!

Medically, Josh has been doing fairly well.  He currently has a 3/4" strange growth on his neck that was finally ID'd as a Pyogenic Granuloma... a hemangioma of sorts.  Wow, did it ever grow quickly!  We may yet have to have that one surgically removed.

His KTS arm, hand and shoulder are doing soooo much better with a "Josh's Salve" that I make myself... from coconut oil, shear butter, olive oil and beeswax... and 5 essential oils in it.  He no longer needs any compression wrap... yahoo!  :-)

Josh's overgrown jaw is giving his face renewed issues, now that the permanent teeth are all in in the top 1/4 of his jaw  :-(.  The 2014 annual Vascular Birthmarks Conference will be in NYC on 10/11, and we plan to meet Dr. Stavros Tombris there, from Athens, Greece, and see what he thinks we need to do for next steps.  Hope it's well worth the super long and stressful journey!  :-)
